How do you manage your energy reserves so you can bring your best when you’re at work?
Here’s what I’ve learned:
- You are differently wired and there is nothing wrong with you for feeling drained.
- Prepare before the event by doing the internal work.
- Prioritize downtime after the event.
- Take time to integrate, acknowledge, and process what happened and what you learned.
- Release the need to control, judge, criticize, and make up stories.
- Release the charge and emotion that accumulates after a long day of being with people.
- Notice how you respond in the moment to uncertainty and the unplanned.
